Jobs Skills Training Program Participants join a team for City beautification projects in a work-like environment, offering valuable training and experience, helping to prepare them for entering the workforce. Participants experience the reward of giving back to the community, very often getting recognized for their service.

In addition to beautification projects, Participants meet weekly in a classroom setting where they engage in resume building, job searches, and supplementary employment trainings including workplace safety.

Participants are paired and meet weekly with a volunteer Co-Pilot who provides guidance and support with identifying and achieving goals.

Participants take part in a 4-day Employment Workshop Series which focuses on enhancement of application, resume and interview skills, and offers the opportunity to interview with real employers for real jobs.

Uplift Eureka assists Participants with securing housing by providing funds to cover application fees, deposits & rent. In accordance with Housing First principles, financial assistance for rent is provided in conjunction with other supportive services until it is determined that the Participant is stabilized and can maintain self-sufficiency.
