Efficient Energy Use

Using utilities when they’re not needed can be costly. Here are some tips to follow to save money.

• When you leave your home, you can save money by:

  • Turning off all lights

  • Turning down the heat / turning off air conditioning

  • Unplug electronics not in use

• LED bulbs use much less electricity than incandescent bulbs

• Don’t leave water running while you brush your teeth

• Check that outdoor hoses are turned off and not leaking

• You can contact PG&E to conduct a free home energy audit to inspect your house for anything not energy-efficient that may be costing you extra money

• Turn down the heat at night
